David, Fort Lauderdale - On the 2nd day of the APE show, 2FIRSTS carried out random interviews to gather insights on hemp products compliance.

One of the interviewees, staff from the compliance testing institute ACS Laboratories, emphasized the need for compliance with regulations governing hemp-derived products. ACS Laboratories ensures that the products they test are legal and safe, which requires the products to contain no more than the legally allowed amount of THC and no heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, pathogenic microbiology, etc. After the testing, their results will be printed on the labeling of the products.

To start a business in Florida, said ACS Laboratories, you need to get a license through the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and make sure you are running everything according to their guidelines. Every state has its own guidelines approved by the USDA.
