Illegal Electronic Products Seized in Two Brazilian Cities.
Brazilian Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized a batch of illegal electronic products in two cities in Tocantins state.

According to a report from Brazilian media Surgiu on October 23rd, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized a shipment of illegally transported electronic products in two cities within the Tocantins state.


The seized items include 12 mobile phones, 5 speakers, 329 mobile phone accessories, 7 thermos cups, 6 security cameras, 6 memory cards, 3 speaker casings, 10 keychains, and 56 sets of e-cigarettes.


Due to the prohibition of sales and imports of e-cigarettes in Brazil, the authorities suspect preliminary involvement in smuggling and tax evasion in this batch of items. All confiscated goods have been handed over to the tax department in the city of Palmas for further processing.

FDA Expands ENDS Market Access With First Authorization of Non-Tobacco and Non-Menthol Products
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on May 5, 2026 that it authorized the marketing of four Glas electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products through the premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) pathway. The authorized products are Classic Menthol, Fresh Menthol, Gold and Sapphire pods, each containing 50mg/ml, or 5%, tobacco-derived nicotine.
