2Firsts, October 15, 2025 — Citing BusinessKorea, Philip Morris Korea (PMK) has extended the warranty for its heated tobacco (HTP) “IQOS ILUMA i” series from the previous 12 months to 18 months, aiming to boost market competitiveness and user satisfaction through more consumer-focused service.

 

PMK says the new warranty policy applies retroactively. Existing users who have completed device registration will have their coverage extended automatically, with no additional procedures. New purchasers who complete membership and device registration on the IQOS Korea official website will likewise receive the 18-month warranty. If a quality issue occurs within the warranty period, consumers are eligible for a free replacement of the same model.

 

The company adds that this adjustment is not only a service upgrade but also a strategic step to expand the smoke-free (heated tobacco) category.

 

Industry watchers expect the longer warranty to further strengthen PMK’s consumer trust and competitiveness in the Korean market.
