According to a September 30 report by South Korea's Business Report, KT&G launched the limited-edition lil HYBRID 3.0 Misty Rosé Edition II that day, introducing two pink finishes, Bloom Rosé and Viva Rosé, at 88,000 won each. The products initially went on sale through the brand's online store and flagship outlets, with Bloom Rosé expanding to approximately 1,500 lil Station retail locations across South Korea from October 7.

Misty Rosé Edition II follows the original Misty Rosé Edition released in November 2025 and continues to use the existing lil HYBRID 3.0 device platform.

Two Pink Finishes Follow the 2025 Misty Rosé Edition

Misty Rosé Edition II is available in two finishes:

  • Bloom Rosé: A lighter, softer pink finish.
  • Viva Rosé: A brighter, more saturated pink finish.

Both versions carry a retail price of 88,000 won.

KT&G introduced the original lil HYBRID 3.0 Misty Rosé Edition on November 20, 2025, featuring a rose-toned device and gradient packaging. The earlier edition was limited to 20,000 units and distributed through company-operated channels and selected convenience stores.

Edition II retains the Misty Rosé design theme while introducing two distinct pink finishes.

From October 7, distribution expanded to approximately 1,500 lil Station retail outlets nationwide. Only Bloom Rosé is available through those locations, while Viva Rosé remains available through the brand's direct retail channels.

The two finishes therefore have different retail coverage. Bloom Rosé is distributed through both direct sales channels and the wider lil Station network, while Viva Rosé is concentrated in company-operated channels.

Existing Hybrid Heating System and Three Operating Modes Retained

Misty Rosé Edition II uses KT&G's existing lil HYBRID 3.0 platform.

The device combines a dedicated liquid cartridge with a tobacco stick and offers three operating modes:

  • Standard
  • Classic
  • Casual

KT&G describes the lil HYBRID 3.0 as a device that does not require separate internal cleaning.

The special-edition announcement focuses on exterior finishes, pricing and distribution, without introducing a new heating system or operating modes.

Industry Perspective

KT&G has released Misty Rosé editions of lil HYBRID 3.0 in two consecutive years. The November 2025 version featured a single rose-toned design with a limited production run of 20,000 units. The 2026 Edition II introduces two finishes and differentiates their retail distribution.

Bloom Rosé is available through approximately 1,500 lil Station outlets in addition to direct channels, while Viva Rosé remains concentrated in company-operated retail. KT&G is expanding its special-edition portfolio through design variations and distribution arrangements while retaining the existing heated tobacco platform.

NAS 2026 | Cliff Douglas: Risk Continuum Should Play a Central Role in Tobacco Policy
Cliff Douglas, a veteran U.S. tobacco-control and public health policy figure, told NAS 2026 that the “continuum of risk” should play a central role in tobacco policy. He called for clearer market pathways, stronger risk communication, differentiated regulation and enforcement, and said possible FDA reforms to PMTA reviews could be a “welcome correction” if they create a more efficient, predictable route for scientifically substantiated lower-risk products. Virginia's new retail tobacco permit system took effect October 1, requiring sellers of vapes, nicotine products and related devices and accessories to obtain a Retail Tobacco Permit for each business location. Virginia ABC said more than 3,000 businesses applied in September alone, creating a processing backlog. Qualifying applicants that filed before October 1 may temporarily operate under a Letter of Authorization. The new store-level permit also sits alongside Virginia's existing vape product directory, where sales of unlisted liquid nicotine or nicotine vapor products can trigger civil penalties starting at $5,000.

India Steps Up Nicotine Pouch Enforcement as ZYN, White Fox Circulate and Drug Panel Urges Halt to New Nicotine Formulations
India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed states to step up enforcement against nicotine pouch sales, citing increased availability through online and offline channels and concern about nicotine exposure among children. Reuters reported that international brands including ZYN and White Fox are being sold in India. A study led by ICMR-NICPR found pouches in seven of 10 surveyed locations and identified 68 brands and 445 flavors online. Separately, India's Drugs Technical Advisory Board recommended in August that no new nicotine formulation be approved.

Smoke-Free Business Hits 42% of Q2 Net Revenue as PMI’s First TNFD Report Covers Single-Use Electronics, Critical Raw Materials and IQOS Repairs
Philip Morris International has published its first report aligned with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, bringing its electronics supply chain and the use and end-of-life stages of smoke-free devices and consumables into its nature-related assessment. PMI said its smoke-free business accounted for about 42% of total net revenues in the second quarter of 2026. The report says non-circular electronic products, particularly single-use items, can increase consumption of limited natural resources and also details an IQOS repair pilot. A 2040 circularity scenario tests assumptions including a 50% reduction in product waste-related costs, 10% raw-material savings and a 25% substitution rate for refurbished products versus new products.
