According to Interfax, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said an amendment that would give Russian regions the power to ban vape sales is planned for adoption in May.

Volodin said in his channel that the State Duma is currently considering an amendment that proposes granting Russian regions the authority to ban vape sales. He said lawmakers plan to move toward a decision in May and added that the issue concerns the health of citizens, especially children.

Volodin said he had earlier raised the issue of a possible vape sales ban for discussion with subscribers to his channel.
