Wisconsin to Allocate $830,000 for Addressing E-Cigarette Issues, Funded by JUUL
Wisconsin Health Department to award grants to address e-cigarette crisis among youth and adults, funded by JUUL settlement.

According to CBS58 news, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services will award grants to address the issue of youth and adult e-cigarette use.

 

In the next two years, they will be awarding a total of over $830,000 in 13 grants to community organizations, funded by a settlement from e-cigarette company JUUL. Organizations that receive these grants will be able to use the funds for anti-smoking initiatives.

Imperial Brands said it will gradually close the Reemtsma factory in Langenhagen near Hanover by 2027 after efforts to find a buyer failed to produce a sustainable agreement. Philip Morris Limited has launched LEVIA, a new range of zero-tobacco flavored nicotine sticks created for the IQOS ILUMA range. The product expands the company’s smoke-free portfolio in the UK and will initially be available in four variants, including Deep Mint and three capsule-based flavors. LEVIA has a recommended retail price of £5, or about $6.73, based on the European Central Bank’s April 28.
