Jinjia Group: Continued Investment in E-Cigarettes
Investor asked Jinjia Co. on investment platform if e-cigarettes are still in R&D. Jinjia Co. stated new tobacco business progressing as planned.

On March 12th, an investor asked Jinjia Group on an investor interaction platform if the company is still continuing to invest in the research and development of e-cigarettes. Jinjia Group (002191.SZ) responded that the company's new tobacco business is progressing orderly according to the established plan, striving to improve its operational performance and enhance its influence in the new tobacco field.

UK Bill Banning Tobacco Sales to People Born After 2008 Clears Parliament
A UK bill banning the legal sale of tobacco to people born on or after January 1, 2009 has completed its passage through parliament. Under the bill, those born in that group will never be able to be legally sold tobacco anywhere in the UK. The legislation is expected to receive royal assent next week. It also gives ministers powers to strengthen public-place smoking restrictions and restricts branding, promotion and advertising of vape and nicotine products aimed at children.

AIR Limited announced on May 7, 2026, that it plans to open a new manufacturing facility of approximately 70,000 square feet in Stefanesti, Bucharest North, Romania. The facility is expected to begin operations by the first quarter of 2027. A study of nearly 2,500 university students in Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City found that the average age of first use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products was 16.90. The findings were presented on April 9 in Hanoi. The study also found that 14.00% of students had tried e-cigarettes and 3.00% were current users, while the figures for heated tobacco were 6.00% and 0.80%. % of surveyed retail outlets moving to online sales.
