Meeting between State Tobacco Monopoly Administration Vice Director and KT&G Deputy President
State Tobacco Monopoly Administration Vice Director Wang Gongcheng met with KT&G Deputy President Lee Sang-hak in Beijing on July 19.

On July 19th, Wang Gongcheng, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, met with Lee Sang-hak, Deputy President of KT&G, who was visiting from South Korea. The two sides engaged in friendly discussions.


Officials from the National Bureau of Foreign Affairs, Development Planning Department, Tobacco Economic Research Institute (Policy Research Office), and China Tobacco Sales Corporation attended the meeting.

A UK bill banning the legal sale of tobacco to people born on or after January 1, 2009 has completed its passage through parliament. Under the bill, those born in that group will never be able to be legally sold tobacco anywhere in the UK. The legislation is expected to receive royal assent next week. It also gives ministers powers to strengthen public-place smoking restrictions and restricts branding, promotion and advertising of vape and nicotine products aimed at children.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that more than 18 million illegal e-cigarettes valued at over $175 million were seized during “Operation Red Mist,” a joint enforcement initiative involving the U.S. Coast Guard and the FDA. The operation primarily targeted maritime vape shipments originating from China and focused on combating illicit importation, transportation, and distribution activities.

The product adopts a dual-chamber structure with two built-in 10ml prefilled pods, bringing total e-liquid capacity to 20ml. It is officially claimed to provide about 35,000 puffs and features a 1050mAh battery, a 0.6Ω mesh coil, a display screen, and adjustable airflow. The product is already on sale through online channels in France and Spain at a price of EUR 15.90.
