October 14, 2026

According to product information released by Juul Labs UK on October 1, 2026, the company has introduced an upgraded JUUL2 Starter Kit featuring a USB-C rechargeable device with longer battery life and four prefilled pods, compared with two in the previous version. The recommended retail price remains £9.99, with distribution scheduled to begin across UK retail channels in October.

The update covers charging, battery performance, pod selection and packaging. The JUUL2 system has been available through UK physical retailers since 2022.

USB-C Replaces Proprietary Charging Dock

The upgraded JUUL2 Starter Kit contains one JUUL2 device, a USB-C charging cable and four prefilled pods.

The device replaces the previous proprietary USB charging dock with a USB-C port. Juul Labs said battery life has been extended but did not disclose the battery capacity, percentage improvement or charging time.

The kit retains a two-year limited warranty and uses redesigned packaging with less material.

The existing JUUL2 system already featured battery and e-liquid level indicators. The latest hardware changes focus on charging and battery performance.

Four Pods Replace Two, Adding Mango and Watermelon to the Kit

The upgraded kit contains four JUUL2 pods in different flavors:

The new kit's packaging specifies a nicotine concentration of 18mg/mL.

The previous starter kit contained Virginia Tobacco and Crisp Menthol pods. The upgraded version retains both and adds Mango and Watermelon, doubling the number of included pods.

Mango and Watermelon were already available as separate JUUL2 pod products in the UK. Juul Labs announced four fruit flavors — Mango, Apple, Watermelon and Lychee — in September 2025, with distribution beginning that October. Peach followed in January 2026.

£9.99 Price Retained as Pod Count Doubles

The upgraded JUUL2 Starter Kit retains the £9.99 recommended retail price of the previous two-pod version.

Previously published UK prices listed the JUUL2 device kit at £6.99, a two-pod refill pack at £6.99 and a four-pod refill pack at £13.99.

The upgraded starter kit combines one device and four different flavored pods at a recommended retail price of £9.99.

Nationwide Rollout Begins in October

Juul Labs said the upgraded kit would be distributed from October 2026 through major UK retailers, wholesalers, convenience stores and its UK website.

JUUL2 began an online pilot in the UK in autumn 2021 and entered physical retail stores in April 2022. The closed-pod system included battery and e-liquid level indicators.

Since 2025, Juul Labs has expanded the JUUL2 fruit-flavor portfolio. The latest starter kit brings two of those flavors together with existing tobacco and menthol variants while updating the device and packaging.

Juul Labs Cites 22% Growth in Non-Tobacco and Non-Menthol Flavor Sales

Juul Labs cited Circana research ranking JUUL2 first by sales value among menthol-flavored vaping brands and second among tobacco-flavored vaping brands in the UK retail vape market. The rankings covered the 12 weeks ended April 5, 2026.

The company also reported a 22% year-over-year increase in volume sales for JUUL2's non-tobacco and non-menthol flavors during the 12 weeks ended May 31, 2026.

Juul Labs separately said JUUL2 device volume sales rose 11%, without specifying the comparison period.

Industry Perspective

Juul Labs has retained the existing JUUL2 closed-pod platform and its £9.99 entry price while increasing the number of included pods and updating the charging system and battery performance.

Following the expansion of its fruit-flavor portfolio in 2025, the company has added Mango and Watermelon to the starter kit alongside the existing tobacco and menthol options. The latest changes focus on the configuration of an established device platform and its starter package.

Germany Probes 7.6 Million Illegal Vape Case With Estimated €33.3 Million Tax Loss; Four Chinese Manufacturer Employees Under Investigation, Some Packaging in Enforcement Images Resembles FUMOT Products
German prosecutors and customs authorities are conducting a criminal investigation into an alleged cross-border organised vape network. Authorities say that between January 2024 and March 2025, four employees of an unnamed Chinese e-cigarette manufacturer allegedly built a network of sales agents and wholesalers that brought more than 7.6 million nicotine disposable vapes into Germany, causing an estimated €33.3 million in excise-tax losses. The manufacturer has not been named. Some products visible in enforcement images have packaging resembling products from FUMOT’s portfolio. European regulatory records from 2024, FUMOT’s public overseas-sales materials and records involving German vape importer and distribution company Zamu-Pro GmbH also show FUMOT/RandM products and German distribution activity during the period covered by the investigation.
