BLACKPINK's Jennie Apologizes for Smoking E-Cigarette Indoors
BLACKPINK's Jennie apologizes for controversial e-cigarette video, sparking outrage among fans and facing criticism for indoor smoking.

Currently, Jennie's management company, ODD ATELIER, released a statement today saying that...

We would like to offer sincere apologies to anyone who felt offended by Jennie's actions in the content released on the 2nd. Jennie is also reflecting on the situation where she smoked indoors and caused harm to other staff members. We have directly contacted the staff members present at the time to apologize.

An official statement was made, saying, "We want to apologize to the disappointed fans and assure them that we will strive to repay everyone in the future with a more mature and better image.

The incident started when some netizens noticed in a recent VLOG video uploaded by Jennie that she appeared to be using an e-cigarette indoors while doing her makeup. Despite having staff members right in front of her, she was unabashedly exhaling smoke.

Some netizens have indicated that the filming location may be the island of Capri in Italy. Some internet users have already urged the South Korean Embassy in Italy to investigate and have demanded that relevant authorities take strict action.

Italy has implemented an indoor smoking ban since January 2005. Individuals caught smoking in indoor and public places can face fines of up to 250 euros. Smoking in front of pregnant women or children can result in fines double that amount.
