Canadian Health Department Grants License to Nicoventures for ZONNIC
Canada's Health Department has granted a license to Nicoventures Trading Limited to sell nicotine pouches ZONNIC, aimed at helping smokers quit.

According to a press release on October 12th from Canadian Health Department, Nicoventures Trading Limited, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco, has been granted a license to sell nicotine pouches called ZONNIC in Canada. This product aims to assist adult smokers in their efforts to quit smoking by delivering nicotine into their bodies. Imperial Tobacco Canada (ITCAN) will be the exclusive distributor of ZONNIC in Canada.

It is worth noting that ITCAN is a subsidiary of British American Tobacco and has no relation to the Imperial Tobacco brand. Frank Silva, President and CEO of ITCAN, commented on this.

This marks Canada's first approval of a nicotine pouch, as no other nicotine pouch has been authorized by the Canadian Department of Health.

According to reports, ZONNIC, a product that does not contain tobacco, is able to temporarily alleviate cravings and nicotine withdrawal symptoms. It has obtained Natural Health Product (NHP) approval and has been authorized by the Canadian Department of Health as a form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for sale.
