European Safety Gate: Warning on R&M Tornado Vape E-cigarette
European Safety Gate warns of dangerous R&M Tornado Vape e-cigarettes as Lincolnshire police seize illegal cigarettes and "super" vapes.

Key points:

The European Safety Gate has issued a warning about the R&M Tornado Vape e-cigarette.

The Lincolnshire police in the UK recently seized a large quantity of illegal cigarettes and 300 "super e-cigarettes" with high levels of nicotine.

According to the BBC on February 27th, the European Safety Gate issued a product alert for the R&M Tornado Vape e-cigarette, which has a capacity of 30,000 puffs. This warning was issued last week following an enforcement action at a store in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Last week, Lincolnshire police seized over 90,000 illegal cigarettes and 300 e-cigarettes from seven shops. This was one of the largest illegal tobacco seizures in the county to date. The seized e-cigarette products were described as "super vapes," containing 30ml of e-liquid, which is 15 times the legal limit, with a nicotine content equivalent to 375 regular cigarettes.

Lincoln County trade standards official Andy Wright stated that

The growing trend of disposable e-cigarettes shows no signs of fading, but residents need to fully understand the health risks posed by these high-capacity "super e-cigarettes.

Richter pointed out that these products often have incomplete labeling and their eye-catching packaging tends to attract young people. The Trade Standards Department will continue to work with the police to crack down on illegal e-cigarettes and rigorously investigate vendors selling these products.

According to reports, the European Safety Gate is the information exchange system of the European Community on dangerous non-food products. Member countries of the EU and the European Economic Area, as well as the European Commission, can quickly exchange information on non-food products on their markets that pose serious risks to consumer health and safety, and then can recall the product or issue a safety alert.
