According to information published by JTI on LinkedIn, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) said that, after more than 30 years of development in Romania, the company is taking an important new step forward.
At a recent groundbreaking ceremony, JTI team members announced that the company will invest approximately EUR 300 million (about USD 324 million) to build a green, state-of-the-art new factory in Ștefăneștii de Jos, Ilfov County, Romania, further reinforcing JTI’s long-term commitment to the country.
According to the published information, the new factory will provide nearly 70,000 square meters of modern production space and will be equipped with advanced equipment and cutting-edge technologies.
In addition, the factory will operate on 100% renewable energy, while also expanding waste management capabilities and incorporating a dedicated water treatment system.
