China's e-cigarette exports to Belgium surged in April 2024, with a 74.15% year-on-year increase in export value.

According to updated trade data from the General Administration of Customs, 2FIRSTS has compiled e-cigarette export data to Belgium from China in April 2024.

The export volume reached around 9.59 million US dollars, showing a month-on-month increase of 194.08% and a year-on-year increase of 74.15%.

The export volume was approximately 178 tons, an increase of 232.86% on a monthly basis and an increase of 136.78% year-on-year.

The export unit price is $53.88 per kilogram, a month-on-month decrease of 11.7% and a year-on-year decrease of 26.4%; the average price for "e-cigarette and similar personal electronic vaporization devices" is $6.68 per unit.

Among them, "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporization devices" account for 10.6% of exports, while "nicotine-containing non-combustible products that do not contain tobacco or reconstituted tobacco" account for 89.4%.

As FDA Reshapes PMTA Reviews and ENDS Enforcement Priorities, CTP Acting Director Bret Koplow to Keynote NATO Event for a Retail Network of 66,000-Plus Stores
Bret Koplow, acting director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Tobacco Products, will deliver a keynote and participate in a fireside chat at the National Association of Tobacco Outlets' Sept. 29-30 conference in Washington. His appearance comes months after the FDA moved to accelerate PMTA reviews and introduced a more differentiated enforcement policy for certain unauthorized ENDS and oral nicotine pouch products. The agency also plans a public list identifying manufacturers and products it does not currently intend to prioritize for enforcement under the May guidance. NATO says its membership includes more than 66,000 retail stores, making product-status transparency and enforcement boundaries directly relevant to the retail sector.

China’s vape exports showed resilience in the first half of 2026 after a short-term shock from China’s export rebate adjustment. But customs data points to more than a simple recovery: the structure of growth is changing. Vaping devices and atomization hardware emerged as the strongest growth driver, while nicotine-containing vaping products remained broadly stable. Meanwhile, nicotine substitute-related products represented by 6-methyl nicotine expanded rapidly, becoming a new category to watch for both industry and regulators.
