
According to a recent report by Volkovysk.EU, the Chairperson of the Republic of Belarus Committee, Natalia Kochanova, recently met with healthcare workers from the National Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology" to discuss the ongoing development of legislation regarding the circulation and use of e-cigarettes.
A month ago, Republic Committee member and doctor Victor Kondratovich mentioned that Belarus plans to ban e-cigarettes.
Kochanova calls on medical personnel to provide input and suggest "what provisions should be included in the law.
She emphasized that according to doctors, e-cigarettes pose a greater health risk than traditional cigarettes.

Recently, a new synthetic drug causing hysteria has emerged in the United States. Therefore, we have proposed this legislative initiative and will continue to advance the drafting of this bill. As a result, we look forward to your input on this issue.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko previously emphasized that since the tobacco industry is an important source of national revenue, the production and export scale must be maintained "as much as possible.
According to official data, sales of cigarettes and other tobacco products generated an additional $25 billion for the national treasury in 2023.
