Additionally, it was found that all e-cigarette products on display and for sale did not have the required internal tax stamps.

The BIR also mentioned that the exhibition originally planned to hold a compliance summit to discuss compliance issues related to current regulations and policy changes.

BIR Director Romeo D. Lumagui Jr. stated that

They even proudly announced that they would be hosting a compliance summit. When we conducted a surprise inspection at the festival site, we immediately noticed that these e-cigarettes did not have the required tax stamps.

The Bureau of Investigation and Recovery (BIR) reported that during the operation, three booths and three delivery trucks were found to contain illegal e-cigarette products.

Lumague warned that

This is also a warning to all celebrities, influencers, and endorsers who are associated with illegal e-cigarette products.
