Boo the Sniffer Dog Helps Seize Thousands of Illegal Tobacco
A Glasgow trade standards operation with the help of sniffer dog Boo seizes over 20,000 illegal cigarettes and tobacco.

According to Glasgow Times, during a joint operation conducted by the trade standards department and the police in Glasgow, a sniffer dog named Boo assisted them in seizing over 20,000 illegal cigarettes, nearly 1,000 illicit e-cigarettes, and approximately 7 kilograms of tobacco from four shops in the city.

 

The operation took place on Wednesday, and Boo is the only tobacco detection-trained sniffer dog in Glasgow.

A new Texas law that bans the sale of e-cigarettes containing ingredients manufactured in China will take effect on September 1. U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison rejected a request for a temporary restraining order from industry groups.
