Dagestan Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov discusses the increase in smuggling of tobacco products in the region due to tax hikes.

According to reports from Telegram media, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan in Southern Russia (a federal subject of the Russian Federation), discussed the findings of on-site research during a meeting of the committee tackling the illicit trafficking of industrial products in the region.

When commenting on the situation of combating illegal trafficking of tobacco and nicotine-containing products in the Republic, he stated that one of the reasons for the increase in tobacco smuggling is the growth of consumption taxes in the Eurasian Economic Union.
