Customs Seize 10200 Tobacco Products from Overpacked Passengers at Qingdao Jiaodong Airport

Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized a case of passenger smuggling 10,200 tobacco products, including cigarettes and e-cigarette pods.

Recently, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs intercepted a case of passengers carrying an excessive amount of tobacco products into the country, confiscating a total of 10,200 cigarettes and e-cigarette pods.

On that day, customs officers at the border checkpoint discovered abnormal images in the X-ray scan of a passenger's luggage during the inspection process of an incoming flight. Upon inspection, it was found that the luggage contained only cigarettes and e-cigarette pods. A total of 39 packs of cigarettes (7800 sticks) and 12 packs of "TEREA" e-cigarette pods (2400 sticks) were counted, totaling 10,200 sticks.

Cigarettes are classified as restricted items when entering the country, and travelers are allowed to bring in duty-free 400 cigarettes, 100 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco when they arrive.
