EVO NXT: two days, four zones, countless opportunities

Business festival delivers both market overview and knowledge advantage

On 17 and 18 April, the international NGP community will gather in Prague for EVO NXT - two days full of innovation, market insights, and personal exchange. The business festival offers a compact, focused platform for everyone who wants to actively shape the market: manufacturers, brands, retailers, and strategic decision-makers from around the world.

Visitors will not only experience product news, but will also gain well-founded insights into future topics such as regulation, trends, and sustainability - all bundled in one place. To help attendees quickly find the exhibitors most relevant to them, EVO NXT is divided into four thematic zones: the E-Zone for e-cigarettes and accessories, the Heat-Zone for heat-not-burn products, the O-Zone for oral nicotine products such as pouches, and the Green-Zone, which hosts companies offering products with hemp and CBD.

The range of exhibitors is complemented by specialized service providers such as Innovative Technology Ltd, Tamarind Intelligence, FamilyBro SRL, and the Applied Research and Analysis Company.

Knowledge input and networking on an international level

In addition to the international exhibitor lineup, EVO NXT’s high-profile conference program - featuring keynotes, panels, and workshops - provides strategic insights into the topics shaping the industry. From global WHO guidelines to European reform initiatives such as TPD3 and TTD, international experts will analyze how regulation is transforming markets, what impact tax policy has on product categories, and what role sustainable packaging and safety standards will play in the future. Visitors will receive concrete assessments on markets, trends, and sustainability issues to support assortment decisions, investments, and strategic positioning.

Trade visitors now have the chance get to know some of the speakers from the conference program in advance on the EVO NXT social media channels. Under the motto “Future Voices,” short videos with teasers about the trade fair are regularly posted on LinkedIn and Instagram.

Deep conversations and new partnerships

EVO NXT deliberately focuses on a personal and concentrated atmosphere. Short distances, clear structures, and a high-quality participant environment create ideal conditions for meaningful conversations - not just exchanging business cards, but building reliable business relationships.

On Friday, April 17, networking will even extend beyond the exhibition floor: at the exclusive Get Together Event at Spojka Karlín - just a few steps from Forum Karlín - exhibitors and visitors will meet from 7 p.m. in a relaxed setting. A first-class dinner and drinks will provide the perfect framework for deepening conversations and initiating new partnerships. All information about the event can be found here.

EU ‘TPD3’ Enters Next Phase on Aug. 14 as Fragmented Vape and Nicotine Pouch Rules Push the Single Market Toward Regulatory Overhaul
A 12-week European Commission consultation on revising the Tobacco Products Directive and Tobacco Advertising Directive is due to close on Aug. 14, 2026. The Commission has identified e-cigarette flavours, disposable vapes, tobacco heating devices, nicotine pouches, nicotine-free e-cigarettes, packaging and digital marketing among areas for possible new EU rules. National regulations already vary significantly across the bloc, a fragmentation the Commission says creates internal-market barriers and distorts competition. No formal revised TPD/TAD legislative text has yet been published, with the Commission currently indicating December 2026 for the legislative initiative.

BAT New Categories Revenue Rises 18% in H1 2026 as Broad Portfolio Offers More Ways to Win—and Lose
British American Tobacco’s New Category revenue rose 18% at constant rates in the first half of 2026. Nicotine-pouch brand Velo expanded rapidly, while Vuse recovered as U.S. enforcement against illicit e-vapor products strengthened. Heated-tobacco platform glo remained under pressure, and cigarettes continued to provide most of the group’s profit and cash. Compared with PMI and JT, BAT has more routes to growth—but also greater regulatory, investment and execution risks across its broader portfolio.

South Korea Vape Strategies Diverge as BAT Reconsiders Exit and PMI Takes VEEV to About 14,000 Stores
BAT Rothmans says it previously considered exiting South Korea's vaping market because of competitive pressure from unregulated products, but is now reassessing conditions following changes to the country's nicotine regulatory framework. Vuse and other BAT vaping products remain available through existing distribution channels. The statement followed a South Korean media report that interpreted BAT's broader withdrawal from selected Vapour markets as a full exit from South Korea. Meanwhile, Philip Morris International launched VEEV inPRIME in the country in June and began expanding distribution to around 14,000 convenience stores and other retail channels in July. The contrasting moves highlight differing investment strategies as South Korea's regulated vaping market evolves.
