Philip Morris International (PMI) launches a "late autumn special" for its IQOS ILUMA series in Japan, offering a discount of up to 2,000 yen.

On November 27th, according to kakaku, Philip Morris International (PMI) has launched a "Late Autumn Special Offer" for its heated tobacco product IQOS ILUMA series in Japan, offering a discount of up to 2000 yen.

 

The promotional deal includes IQOS ILUMA PRIME and IQOS ILUMA in all colors, along with compatible accessory kits, excluding limited editions.

Spanish newspaper El Confidencial interviewed Fred Monteiro, Regional Director for Americas and Europe at British American Tobacco (BAT). Monteiro said BAT supports setting regulatory limits for nicotine products but opposes Spain’s proposed 0.99mg nicotine-per-pouch limit, arguing that such a restriction could affect adult smokers’ transition to alternatives. He said nicotine regulation should be based on scientific evidence and harm reduction principles. Monteiro also said smoke-free products now account for around 25% of BAT’s Americas and Europe business and nearly 30% of its Europe business

Malaysia Police Seize RM12.7 Million in Illegal Vapes and Cigarettes as Probe Points to Sea Shipments From China
Police in Malaysia’s Selangor state seized illegal vape products and contraband cigarettes worth about RM12.7 million (approximately $3 million) in two enforcement operations. According to New Straits Times and The Star, the vape-related operation uncovered 131,036 boxes of vape products, 4,900 bottles of e-liquid and 25,510 vape devices, valued at about RM9.4 million. Police said preliminary investigations indicated that some illegal vape products entered Malaysia through sea shipments from China before moving through storage and distribution networks.
