Illegal Tobacco Production Worth Over 200 Million RMB Uncovered in Ukraine
Ukraine's Economic Security Office uncovers illegal tobacco production case worth over 120 million hryvnias, ongoing investigation continues.

According to a report by Ukrainian media outlet 1kr.ua on November 8th, the Ukrainian Economic Security Office has uncovered a case of illegal tobacco production in the Dnipropetrovsk region. It was reported that the confiscated goods had a total value of over 120 million hryvnias (approximately 20 million Chinese yuan). According to the Ukrainian Economic Security Bureau, the operation was involved in the illegal production and sale of well-known water pipe tobacco brands.

 

During the search and inspection, authorities discovered and seized over 200,000 hookah pipes and disposable e-cigarettes, approximately 8 tons of hookah liquid, more than 14,000 e-liquid cartridges, and over 250 barrels of hookah mixture.

 

The investigation is still underway. According to the Ukrainian Criminal Code, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
