Kazakhstan Implements Ban on E-Cigarettes Sales Starting to Work, over Ten Thousand of Illegal E-Cigs are Busted in July
Kazakhstan authorities crackdown on illegal e-cigarette sales, arresting five sellers and seizing over 10,000 disposable e-cigarettes in July.

According to a report by Zakon on August 16th, the Cyberpolice of Kazakhstan arrested five individuals involved in the sale of e-cigarettes in a series of operations in July, seizing over 10,000 disposable e-cigarettes of various brands.

The sellers and suppliers of these products have been criminally charged under Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan for selling and distributing smokeless tobacco products, electronic consumption systems, spices, and their e-liquids.


Starting from June 20, 2024, Kazakhstan has officially implemented a new regulation banning the sale of e-cigarettes.


According to the new regulations, selling and distributing smokeless tobacco products, electronic consumption systems (e-cigarettes), flavors, and their e-liquids will be subject to a fine of up to 200 months' worth of indicators, or equivalent labor education, or up to 200 hours of community service, or up to 50 days of detention.
