Massive e-cigarette seizure by Turkish customs in truck carriage
Turkish customs seize over 46,000 e-cigarettes in truck, including banned chemical substances. Brands involved: "SMOK" identified.

According to a report from haberport on April 15th, Turkish customs carried out a inspection operation at the Kapıkule border crossing, where law enforcement officers seized 46,761 e-cigarette products and 463.07 kilograms of prohibited chemicals in a truck entering the country.

 

This operation was led by the Turkish Edirne Customs Smuggling and Intelligence Agency. After conducting a risk assessment on a truck entering Turkey from Bulgaria, authorities sent the vehicle for an X-ray scan. The equipment detected anomalies in the truck, prompting law enforcement officers to conduct a thorough manual inspection of the vehicle's cargo compartment.

After a search, law enforcement officials found a total of 46,761 e-cigarette products inside the carriage, as well as restricted chemicals packaged in 16 barrels with a total weight of 463.07 kilograms. The seized e-cigarette products bear the brand logo of "SMOK.

 

The related products and chemicals have been lawfully confiscated, and the incident is currently being handled by the relevant authorities.
