【2Firsts News Flash】According to a report from Moscow.ru on July 17th, the Russian Federal Consumer Supervision Service (Rospotrebnadzor) discovered illegal sale of tobacco products in a store during an inspection in the Eastern District of Moscow. The store was located only 50 meters away from a private school, while federal law prohibits the sale of tobacco products within 100 meters of educational institutions.

The Federal Consumer Supervision Agency in the Eastern District of Moscow, Russia has issued a warning to the lessee of a store, demanding compliance with federal laws. However, despite receiving the warning, the store continues to sell tobacco products.

In response to this situation, regulatory agencies filed a lawsuit in court seeking to prohibit the venue from selling tobacco and nicotine products. The Maloderbutovsky District Court in the Republic of Kalmykia reviewed the case and found that it violated federal law, specifically the "Law on Protecting Citizens' Health from the Harmful Effects of Tobacco Smoke and Tobacco Consumption Consequences." The court ruled in favor of the Consumer Supervision Service's request.

Therefore, the owner of the building has now been formally prohibited from renting the premises for the sale of tobacco products. Ultimately, the store has suspended its tobacco sales business.
