Nebraska Proposed Bill Establishes State Registry System for E-Cigarettes
Nebraska Senator Jana Hughes proposes bill to establish state registry for e-cigarette products aiming to combat youth vaping issues.

According to Times of Cannabis, Nebraska is advancing a bill aimed at establishing a statewide registration system for e-cigarette products to address youth vaping issues.

 

The proposal was put forward by Senator Jana Hughes, who suggested creating a comprehensive registry for electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). This registry would be managed by the state government to ensure tighter regulation of e-cigarette products on the market in that state.

 

The proposal of this bill is in response to statistical data on youth e-cigarette usage in Nebraska. The bill not only restricts the sale of e-cigarettes but also categorizes violations as deceptive trade practices, consistent with the provisions of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
