New Law Proposed in Perm Region to Ban Tobacco Sales
The Russian Perm region's legislative committee supports Governor Dmitry Mahony's proposed ban on tobacco and e-cigarette sales in non-fixed commercial facilities.

According to a report from Russian television media Rifey-Perm on October 25th, the Industrial, Economic Policy, and Tax Committee of the Perm State Duma has expressed support for a new bill proposed by Governor Dmitry Makhonin. This bill aims to ban the sale of cigarettes, hookah, and e-cigarettes in non-permanent commercial facilities such as kiosks and stalls.

According to the current legislation, individuals who violate the prohibition will be subject to fines as a penalty.

The specific fines are as follows: Citizens are required to pay fines ranging from 2000 to 3000 rubles; government officials are required to pay fines ranging from 5000 to 10000 rubles; corporate entities are required to pay fines ranging from 30000 to 50000 rubles. This ban does not apply to villages and towns that do not have fixed retail establishments (stores and exhibition halls).
