Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province Considers Ban on E-cigarettes

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan hints at full ban on e-cigarette use, implementing interim measures in Peshawar district.

According to a report from Pakobserver on June 23rd, the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwestern Pakistan has indicated that it will completely ban the use of e-cigarette devices. Earlier this month, a notice was issued implementing temporary measures in the Peshawar district for 60 days, prohibiting the use of e-cigarettes, e-cigarette devices, and nicotine products in public places.

A deputy commissioner in Peshawar city stated in a notice issued on June 13th that

In order to protect the public's health from the detrimental effects of e-cigarettes, e-cigarette devices, and nicotine pouches, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has implemented temporary measures before imposing a complete ban on these products.
