【By 2Firsts, Dubai】On June 20th, the World Vape Show Dubai 2025, which has attracted widespread attention from the global industry, entered its third day at the Dubai World Trade Center. At the exhibition site, 2Firsts found that many brands showcased a variety of new - style hookah products in different forms.

Some exhibitors told 2Firsts that at present, the Middle East and some European markets have a stable and large group of hookah users. The common flavors and usage experience of traditional e - cigarettes can no longer meet the consumption needs of these users. Therefore, many brands have successively launched new - style hookah devices that are closer to the traditional hookah experience. They hope to maintain the traditional hookah smoke volume and flavor reproduction while realizing portability and technological upgrading.

Texas college data show rapid shifts in top vaping brands, with Geek Bar/Vape surging by 2025

A short communication in Drug and Alcohol Dependence examined changes in the most commonly used nicotine vaping brands among Texas college students from 2023 to 2025. The study analyzed 6,049 students aged 18–25 who reported past-30-day nicotine vaping across three repeated cross-sectional spring surveys. The report found that use of Esco Bar, Elf Bar, JUUL, and Puff Bar declined from 2023 to 2025, while Geek Bar/Vape increased.

Metal Body + AMOLED Screen: KT&G Launches New Heated Tobacco Device Lil Aible 3.0

KT&G said it will launch the heated tobacco device Lil Aible 3.0 at four stores in South Korea on February 28. The device shortens charging and preheating time while keeping features such as pausing during use, mode switching, and three consecutive uses. It adopts a metal body and an AMOLED display, comes in four colors, and will expand to Seoul-area convenience stores and the online mall in April, and nationwide convenience stores in May.

Malaysian police raids across five states: 51 held and over RM1 million in vapes seized

Police in Malaysia detained 51 individuals and seized over RM1 million worth of electronic cigarettes and liquid refills in a five-state operation dubbed “Op E-CIG,” conducted by the GOF Central Brigade on February 10. The report said the operation involved 30 raids across Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Melaka, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. Authorities seized 2,263 vape units and 165.463 litres of liquid.

Philippine Tobacco Control Coalition Backs Raising Legal Age for Vape and Tobacco Products to 25

A coalition of health and child rights advocates in the Philippines said it supports Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa’s call to raise the legal age restriction for vape and tobacco products from 18 to 25. The group said scientific evidence shows that the brain of a young person continues to develop until the mid-20s, and that nicotine exposure during that period can cause lasting impairment in impulse control, learning, and mood regulation.

FDA Authorizes Glas Vape but Flavor Hopes Fall Short

The FDA has added Glas products to its authorized electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) list, granting Marketing Granted Orders (MGOs) to the Glas G DEVICE and a BLONDE TOBACCO pod. The decision expands the number of FDA-authorized ENDS products to 41, marking the first new authorization since Juul’s approvals in July 2025. However, widely anticipated non-tobacco flavored products were not approved.
