2firsts, two stores in a small town in Derbyshire, England were shut down by authorities on September 17, 2025 for selling illegal tobacco and e-cigarettes, according to a report in Derbyshire Times on September 16.

 

During the operation, police conducted test purchases at a store and subsequently discovered 3,400 cigarettes and 700 grams of tobacco hidden in the ceiling of the store's restroom. In another test purchase at a different store, police found 1,000 cigarettes in an upstairs bedroom and approximately 150 non-compliant e-cigarettes behind a shelf in the bathroom. Additionally, authorities seized 12 counterfeit Labubu dolls.

 

One shop was closed down after illegal products were seized. The authorities stated that the illegal items were worth thousands of pounds and are planning to work with the landlord to prevent similar activities from happening again.

 

It has been reported that illegal tobacco products may contain harmful ingredients such as asbestos and other waste, posing a threat to health. The police urge the public to remain vigilant and report any similar illegal activities.
