Regulations on Emerging E-Cigarettes and Tobacco Products: WHO Focus

The regulation of emerging e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and nicotine products will be a centerpiece at next year's international tobacco control conferences.

According to a report on November 14th by ECigIntelligence, Adriana Blanco, the head of the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC), stated during an online press conference that one of the central topics of next year's COP10 and MOP3 international tobacco control conferences will be the regulation of emerging e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and nicotine products.

The World Health Organization (WHO), based in Geneva, Switzerland, announced plans to develop stricter regulations and health guidance to regulate the use of new tobacco and nicotine products.

This will be given priority at the upcoming tenth Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, scheduled to be held in Panama next year, as well as at the third Meeting of Parties (MOP3) to the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products.

Imperial Brands FY25 Results: NGP Net Revenue Up 13.7%, Americas Surges Nearly 70%

Imperial Brands reported FY25 NGP net revenue of £368 million, up 13.7% at constant currency.
