According to a report by TASS on October 11th, the Federation Council of Russia has approved legislation that imposes a fine of up to 25,000 rubles for individuals exceeding the transportation or carrying limit of e-cigarettes.
Irina Rukavishnikova, the First Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Legislation and State Building Committee of the Russian Federation Council, has stated that individuals who carry more than the specified quantity of non-standard nicotine products, including e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, may face administrative penalties.
According to current regulations, Russian citizens are allowed to carry up to 200 packs of cigarettes or heated tobacco products, as well as 5 units of nicotine-containing products with a total volume not exceeding 20 milliliters.
