Russia Cracks Down on Violations of E-cigarette Display Laws

Russian stores continue to openly display e-cigarettes and tobacco heating devices, despite a ban since June 2021.

According to a report by Roskachestvo on November 11, some shops in Russia are openly displaying e-cigarettes and tobacco heating devices in violation of the law, despite the clear prohibition since June 2021.

Previously, this ban only applied to nicotine-containing products, but lawmakers have recently expanded its scope to include nicotine-free e-liquids, tobacco heating devices, and e-cigarettes. However, despite these changes, e-cigarettes are still being openly displayed in stores.

Moreover, the issue of counterfeit e-liquid is even more severe. It is estimated that there are 5 million adult smokers in Russia who are using counterfeit products.
