According to a report by the BBC on June 7th, seven stores in Lincolnshire, UK were shut down for selling illegal tobacco and e-cigarettes. Following a raid by the British police and Trading Standards authorities, stores in Spalding, Crowland, and Holbeach were issued closure orders for "community safety reasons".

According to the law, these stores can reopen after the closure period, but officials have stated that they will work with landlords to prevent future issues. Similar situations have been found in Grantham before, with products being concealed behind false panels and shelves.
The stores that have been issued closure orders include:
Nida, located at 13 Winsover Road in Spalding, Global Foods at 2 Winsover Road in Spalding, Babany at 17 Winsover Road in Spalding, Europe Store at 46 Holbeach Road in Spalding, Adams Mini Mart at 8 North Street in Crowland, and Sweet and Vape Shop at 5 High Street in Holbeach.
Inspector Matt Dickinson stated, "Anti-social and criminal activities associated with these types of shops are not welcome in our county. We stand united in our efforts to combat the illegal sale of tobacco and e-cigarettes with a strong force, ensuring the safety of our community.
