Successful Crackdown on Sale and Use of E-Cigarettes in China
A recent crackdown in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province led to the arrest of six individuals involved in the sale and use of e-cigarettes containing illegal substances.

According to a report on CCTV's official website, local police in Ganzhou, Jiangxi have recently successfully cracked a case involving the use and sale of e-cigarettes containing isoflurane. A total of six suspects involved in illegal activities were apprehended.

 

According to the police in Ganzhou, the operation began with the arrest of a suspect named Qiu, who is involved in drug trafficking. Police successfully apprehended Qiu at a local hotel and further investigations led to the arrest of his accomplices, Hong, Zhong, and Yang. Additionally, two individuals using e-cigarettes containing methamphetamine were also apprehended. During the operation, authorities seized a total of 23 e-cigarette pods and 28.85 grams of e-liquid.

 

Currently, crime suspects Qiu Liang, Hong Long, Zhong Bing, and Yang Jie have been criminally detained by the public security authorities on suspicion of drug trafficking. At the same time, two drug users have also been administratively punished in accordance with the law. The case is currently under further investigation.
