United Wholesale Scotland Launches New E-cigarette Delivery Service
United Wholesale Scotland launches e-cigarette delivery service, offering exclusive brands with market-leading prices to UK retailers.

According to a report from Better Retailing on August 22nd, United Wholesale Scotland (UWS) has launched a new e-cigarette delivery service, claiming to allow retailers across the UK to obtain exclusive brands at "market-leading prices" and an average profit margin of 50%.

The service called "United Vapes" officially launched last week, offering core brands such as ELFBAR, LOST MARY, SKE, and IVG, as well as exclusive products from Japanese manufacturer Gippro and a total of 16 brands in partnership with the company.

According to UWS, "United Vapes" is open to retailers across the UK, with goods being distributed from UWS warehouse in Glasgow. There is no minimum order requirement, but orders over £150 qualify for free delivery services. After shipment, delivery to the store is expected within 2 to 7 days, with the option for next day or Saturday delivery available for an additional fee.

UWS General Manager Chris Gallacher stated that the service is targeting tens of thousands of convenience stores across the UK.

We have market-leading prices and a great variety of products. E-cigarettes are a very important category in convenience retail, and now is the right time for us to expand across the UK. We are always looking for new avenues for growth, and United Vapes can deliver warehouse prices directly to retail stores.

We will directly send advertising emails to retailers, not limited to retailers within our own company, but also targeting customers of some major competitors. We aim to help retailers across the UK grow in the e-cigarette category. Compared to some competitors, we will offer a wider range of products.

Louise McKenzie, Director of E-commerce and Marketing at UWS, added that some brands collaborating with wholesalers will be launching in the UK for the first time.

One of the brands is the Japanese company Gippro, one of the top-selling e-cigarette companies in New Zealand, Australia, and Central Asia. The brand has entered over 400 retail stores and is now exclusively entering the UK market through United Wholesale Scotland.

We will be launching promotional campaigns at multiple sales points in England with our partners. Some of our partnerships with specific suppliers will also provide exclusive discounts that no other company can match.

United Vapes will become the exclusive distributor of the brand. We aim to stay ahead of the market and solidify our position as a leader in the compliant e-cigarette market.

UAE Sets Dh1-Per-ml Minimum Excise Price for Vape Liquids From Sept. 1 While Keeping 100% Tax Rate
The UAE Ministry of Finance will introduce a minimum excise price for e-liquids used in vaping and electronic smoking devices from September 1, 2026. The minimum excise price will be set at AED 1 per millilitre. The existing 100% excise tax rate will continue to apply to tobacco and electronic smoking products. The measure changes the minimum taxable base rather than the tax rate, with the UAE government saying it aims to establish unified tax standards, improve market compliance and prevent pricing loopholes.

U.S. Military Could Test Nicotine Pouches and Vapes for Smoking Cessation as Washington Examiner Cites ZYN and Potential $4 Billion Reduction in Related Defense Costs
U.S. Military Could Test Nicotine Pouches and Vapes for Smoking Cessation as Washington Examiner Cites ZYN and Potential $4 Billion Reduction in Related Defense Costs
The House-passed FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act includes a provision authorizing the defense secretary to conduct a one-year smoking-cessation pilot for active-duty service members. Section 707 lists counseling, nicotine gum and patches alongside what the bill calls "electric nicotine delivery systems," nicotine pouches and heat-not-burn products. A recent Washington Examiner op-ed cited ZYN as an example in arguing for the provision, but the legislation does not name any commercial brand or supplier. ZYN is made by PMI-owned Swedish Match USA, with specified products holding FDA marketing authorizations and modified risk orders.

Malaysia Liquid Nicotine Returns to Poisons List, Leaving Vape Retail and RM354 Million Tax Collection in Legal Uncertainty
Malaysia Liquid Nicotine Returns to Poisons List, Leaving Vape Retail and RM354 Million Tax Collection in Legal Uncertainty
Malaysia’s withdrawal of its appeal in a landmark liquid-nicotine case has left a High Court ruling that struck down the 2023 nicotine exemption in force, bringing liquid and gel nicotine used in vaping products back under the Poisons Act 1952. At the same time, the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024 continues to provide a regulatory framework for vaping products, creating uncertainty over retail sales, taxation and existing inventory. MPs are calling for nicotine vape sales and excise collection to stop, including refunds of more than RM354 million collected since 2023, while industry and consumer groups are asking the government to clarify the current legal position.
