Vietnamese Market Regulatory Team Seizes Illegal E-cigarette Businesses.
Vietnam's market surveillance team seizes and temporarily detains four e-cigarette sales locations with numerous illegal products.

According to a report by Laodong on November 24, market surveillance teams in Hanoi, Vietnam have discovered and temporarily seized four e-cigarette sales establishments, including a significant quantity of non-compliant products.


Market management team number 1 seized a total of 10,539 e-cigarette related products from the aforementioned four commercial facilities, with an estimated total value of approximately 1.9 billion Vietnamese dong.


Currently, the relevant authorities are in the process of organizing documents and taking appropriate measures as per legal requirements.

Bangladesh’s Advisory Council on December 24 approved the Smoking and Tobacco Products Usage (Control) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, aimed at strengthening tobacco control laws. The Unified Patent Court’s Court of Appeal declined on Dec. 29 to revive a European patent held by VMR Products LLC, upholding a finding that the patent is not inventive over earlier devices. More than 2,300 units of vape liquid worth over RM75,000 were seized during an integrated operation at premises in Likas near Kota Kinabalu.
