China's e-cigarette exports to UAE in April 2024 reached $15.46 million, with a 44.16% month-on-month increase.

According to updated trade data from the General Administration of Customs, 2FIRSTS has compiled the e-cigarette export data from China to the United Arab Emirates for the month of April 2024. The specifics are as follows:

The export volume was approximately 15.46 million US dollars, showing a month-on-month increase of 44.16% and a year-on-year decrease of 6.05%.

The export volume reached approximately 381 tons, representing a month-on-month increase of 45.01% and a year-on-year increase of 14.01%.

The export unit price was $40.56 per kilogram, a decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous period and a 17.6% decrease year-on-year; the average price for "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizing devices" was $6.38 per unit.

Among them, "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporization devices" account for 14.8% of the export product category, while "non-tobacco or non-reconstituted tobacco products containing nicotine for non-combustible use" account for 85.2%.

China’s vape-related exports reached $1.047 billion in July 2026, up 16.5% year on year and the highest monthly total of the year. Growth was heavily concentrated in the U.S., where exports jumped 53.5% to $404 million and accounted for 94.9% of the overall increase. Exports to all other markets rose just 1.2%. By category, nicotine-containing non-combustible products—primarily vapes—under HS24041200 rose 24.7% and generated 95.5% of the total increase. Vape-device exports under HS85434000 fell 0.4%, while other nicotine-substitute products under HS24041990 grew 88.9% but remained comparatively small.

The Philippines’ Bureau of Internal Revenue is intensifying enforcement against illicit vape and tobacco products ahead of the Christmas shopping season, directing regional and enforcement offices to strengthen monitoring of production sites, warehouses, distribution channels and retail outlets. China’s State Council has appointed Zhang Xiaotang as deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, with the regulator’s official website now listing him as a Party leadership group member and deputy director. China Discloses First Criminal Case Over Counterfeit Vapes Disguised as “Medical Nebulizers” and “Zero-Nicotine” Products
Chinese authorities have disclosed the country’s first reported criminal case involving counterfeit vapes marketed as “medical nebulizers” and “zero-nicotine” products. Authorities determined that the products involved were counterfeit vapes and pursued criminal charges for producing and selling counterfeit goods. According to the report, the case resulted in the seizure of 347,000 counterfeit vape pods and 53,700 vape devices, with physical goods valued at 22.13 million yuan.
