During the speech, Leona Zhu shared information about the overall size of the global nicotine pouch market, market brand structure, and the overall industry chain. He raised current opportunities and major challenges facing the global industry and offered important recommendations for future development.

Regarding the brand landscape of nicotine pouches, Leona Zhu mentioned the development trends of the nicotine pouch market and the shift in brand landscape. Currently, international tobacco giants have actively entered this field through investment and merger activities, driving rapid market growth. For example, Philip Morris International (PMI) acquired Swedish Match in 2022, with its ZYN brand reaching a shipment volume of 260 million boxes in the first half of 2024 in the US market. Altria also acquired the Swiss brand On! in 2019.

She mentioned that the nicotine pouch has formed a complete supporting industry chain, which has also attracted many companies from other industries to join.

During the speech, Leona Zhu compared nicotine pouches and e-cigarettes from multiple perspectives such as supply chain, production, brand, consumer preferences, and regulations. She provided a more intuitive and profound introduction to the development logic and future trends of the nicotine pouch industry.

Leona Zhu emphasized that the global nicotine pouch industry is facing significant risks. For example, the trend of "e-cigarette-ization" of nicotine pouches has attracted regulatory attention. The increasing prevalence of illegal trade is also posing new threats to the healthy development of the global industry and the safety of consumers.

In her closing remarks, Leona Zhu reiterated that the global nicotine pouch market will continue to grow, forming a pattern of category integration development of "HNB+e-cigarette+nicotine pouch" (HTP+EVP+OND). She called on all sectors of the industry to make maximum efforts to promote the global nicotine pouch towards higher quality development.

After the speech, Leona Zhu's profound industry insights and precise analysis of the nicotine pouch market sparked extensive discussion and high praise among attendees.

The organizers of the forum stated that Ms. Leona Zhu's speech provided a deep analysis of the global trend of nicotine pouch development, offering valuable foresight to the industry and bringing attendees highly valuable insights and suggestions.

The participating brand owners mentioned that the speech provided rich insights into the industry, especially a comprehensive overview of the nicotine pouch industry chain, which is highly valuable for new industry entrants.

2Firsts, as a global leader in vaping media and consultancy, will continue to organize more research and discussions on the nicotine pouch industry, promote global industry exchanges and cooperation, and propel the industry towards better high-quality development.
