This marked the third PMTA-related professional event hosted by 2Firsts in the past month. The seminar was led by 2Firsts co-founder and COO, Echo Guo, alongside PMTA compliance expert Kurt Yang. Additionally, 2Firsts invited compliance heads from leading supply chain companies to share their insights on the TPMF application process and engage in discussions about the practical issues and challenges encountered during the application process.

Tom Beaudet, CEO of the well-known U.S. compliance firm Accorto, joined remotely to offer valuable insights on PMTA applications. He also analyzed the current political landscape in the U.S. and its potential impact on FDA policies and the emerging tobacco market.

Echo Guo emphasized that PMTA applications for brands typically involve long processing times, high costs, and low approval rates. In contrast, TPMF applications for supply chains offer benefits like shorter processing cycles and lower costs. More importantly, if a technology or solution within the supply chain successfully applies for TPMF, partner products can enter the U.S. market compliantly-an attractive proposition for brand collaborations.
