Analysis of China's E-cigarette Export to Germany in October 2023

China's e-cigarette exports to Germany in October 2023 dropped by 17.07% compared to the previous month, according to customs data.

According to updated trade data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, 2FIRSTS has compiled statistics on e-cigarette exports from China to Germany in October 2023. The details are as follows:

The export amount was approximately 54.68 million US dollars, with a month-on-month decrease of 17.07% and a year-on-year decrease of 31.05%.

The export volume amounted to approximately 987 tons, showing a decrease of 7.98% compared to the previous period, but a growth of 27.10% compared to the same period last year.

The export unit price decreased by 9.87% compared to the previous period and dropped by 45.75% compared to the same period last year. The average price for "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizers" is $17.20 per unit.

Among them, "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizers" accounted for 33.92% of the export categories, while "non-combustible products containing nicotine, without tobacco or reconstituted tobacco" accounted for 66.08%.

According to data from Statista, the e-cigarette market in Germany is expected to generate $1.1 billion in revenue by 2023. The market is projected to have an annual growth rate of 0.85% (2023-2028 compound annual growth rate). Considering the total population, the per capita e-cigarette consumption in Germany is estimated to be $15.15 in 2023. The popularity of e-cigarettes in Germany is significantly increasing, with more and more smokers opting to use these devices as a less harmful alternative to traditional tobacco products.
