Argentinian Authorities: Legal Action Against Illegal Importation of E-Cigarettes and Phones
Argentinian authorities intercepted a transport truck carrying illegal e-cigarettes and cellphones valued at over $148,000.

According to an April 10 report from ellitoral, Argentinian police stopped a transport truck carrying packages on the highway from Iguazú to Buenos Aires, and found 2840 e-cigarettes and 100 cellphones in eight of the packages.

All of these were illegally entered into the country, therefore authorities have filed charges against these parcels for alleged violations of Customs Law section 22415.

According to the assessment by the General Customs Administration of Argentina (AFIP-DGA), the seized goods are valued at approximately 128,849,577 pesos (148,916 dollars).

The case will be taken over by the federal court, which will oversee the confiscation of all detained goods.
