Ban on Sale of Cigarettes and Naswar to Minors in Pakistan
Pakistan's Punjab province police have announced a ban on selling cigarettes and naswar to minors, with strict penalties for violators.

According to a report by the Pakistani daily newspaper, the police in Punjab province of Pakistan have recently announced a ban on the sale of cigarettes and snuff to minors. Those who violate this regulation will face severe consequences.

 

The police have decided to implement strict regulations and scrutiny towards shop owners who exploit minors in selling cigarettes and naswar (type of smokeless tobacco) in markets and on the streets.

 

The police have explicitly stated that selling cigarettes and nasal snuff to individuals under the age of 18 is illegal and strict legal measures will be taken.
