BAT expresses optimism for German e-cigarette market at InterTabac Expo, focusing on innovative Vuse Go device and sustainability.

On September 19th, the Dortmund Tobacco Expo officially opened. 2Firsts spoke with on-site staff from British American Tobacco (BAT), who expressed optimism about the potential of the German e-cigarette market. However, they stated that BAT is not considering launching a large number of e-cigarettes in that market.

BAT on-site staff stated that there were no specific new products launched targeting the German market this time. The main highlight product brought this time is the Vuse Go pod-system device launched this year. While maintaining the classic flavors of the Vuse Go disposable products, the pod-system Vuse Go device has been innovatively upgraded. The new design adds a charging port at the bottom. At the same time, a switch button has been added, with a child lock function: pressing once enables normal use, and pressing twice in succession locks the device, ensuring child safety.

According to staff, this device is sold in conjunction with two pods and can deliver up to 2,000 puffs, making it more environmentally friendly and practical. It meets the increasingly stringent environmental requirements today.

In Germany, Vuse's most popular product is a disposable device, with the most popular flavors being grape ice, mixed berries, and mint.

When asked about whether British policies would have an impact on the German market, the official stated that while changes in British policies may have a certain influence on the e-cigarette market, the German market has its own uniqueness and will not be affected. Additionally, BAT's strategy in Germany will not simply follow in the footsteps of the UK.

In the future, BAT remains optimistic about the potential of the e-cigarette market in Germany. When discussing current mainstream products such as "n in 1" and "2+10," the spokesperson stated that due to strict regulatory policies and consumer preferences in the German market, BAT will continue to promote pod-based products that meet market demands and comply with regulations, and has no plans to launch large-capacity e-cigarettes in Germany.
