BAT Rothmans Launches Vuse Go 800 Nationwide in Korea
BAT Rothmans to expand sales of "Vuse Go 800" e-cigarette nationwide in South Korea, offering variety of flavors to consumers.

According to a report from South Korean media "NEWS 1" on May 13th, British American Tobacco Rothmans (BAT Rothmans) has decided to promote and sell its liquid e-cigarette "Vuse Go 800" nationwide. This move means that consumers can find this product in convenience stores and e-cigarette specialty stores in South Korea.

As early as January this year, the company began selling four different flavors of "Vuse Go 800" liquid e-cigarettes in the capital region, and added two new flavors four months later to increase adult consumers' exposure opportunities. Vuse Go 800 uses natural nicotine e-liquid, does not require changing e-liquid cartridges or refilling e-liquid, and can be used without preheating or charging.

A representative from British American Tobacco's subsidiary, Imperial Brands, stated, "As the number one brand in the American liquid e-cigarette market, Vuse continues to be warmly welcomed in the Korean market. Since entering the Korean market, we have established a diverse sales network throughout the country."

FDA Revises Import Alert 98-07 Rules, Bringing May Enforcement Priorities Into Unauthorized ENDS Detentions
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has revised the rules under Import Alert 98-07 to incorporate its May 2026 enforcement-priority policy for certain electronic nicotine delivery systems marketed without premarket authorization. The alert continues to allow detention without physical examination, or DWPE, for ENDS lacking required marketing authorization, while directing field divisions to apply the May risk-based framework. When necessary, detention or refusal decisions must also undergo review by the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products. Products including PACHA and Vuse Pro have already emerged as industry examples of the May policy, although enforcement discretion does not constitute FDA marketing authorization.

China Tobacco Zhejiang files patent for pressure-triggered, on-demand oral nicotine release
China Tobacco Zhejiang Industrial Co., Ltd. has filed a patent application for an oral nicotine delivery product designed to let users actively adjust nicotine release. The product embeds two types of nicotine reservoirs with different wall thicknesses and positions inside a deformable matrix. Pressure applied with the tongue or lips can rupture the reservoirs and accelerate nicotine release. In simulated oral tests, several patent examples showed sharply higher peak nicotine release rates as applied force increased from 0 N to 1 N and 3 N. The filing explores a shift from preset release profiles toward user-triggered nicotine delivery.
