Birmingham police seize £1 million worth of illegal e-cigarettes in massive raid, describing it as one of the largest cases.

According to a report from the Birmingham Mail on January 3rd, the Birmingham police discovered illegal e-cigarettes worth £1 million in a raid.

This operation was described by the police as "one of the largest in similar cases", confiscating a total of 7,545 e-cigarettes, 134 kilograms of tobacco, and 329,740 cigarette sticks.

The police added that these items were found hidden behind a fake wall at the back of a shop and inside an apartment with a metal door. It is estimated that the total value of these illegal goods is around £1 million.

Chairman of the Licensing and Public Safety Committee, Sam Forsyth, stated that

The latest seizure operation indicates that efforts are ongoing to remove dangerous and illegal goods to ensure they no longer pose a threat to our community. This positive outcome is another important step in combating organized crime groups, and we will continue to work together with our partners towards this goal.
