China's E-cigarette Export Data to UK in May 2024
China's e-cigarette exports to the UK in May 2024 rose by 26.8% in value, totaling $1.28 billion.

According to updated trade data from the General Administration of Customs, 2FIRSTS has compiled e-cigarette export data from China to the UK in May 2024. The specifics are as follows:

The export volume is approximately 1.28 billion US dollars, up 26.8% month-on-month but down 19.0% year-on-year.

The export volume is about 3,094 tons, up 18.31% month-on-month and down 9.90% year-on-year.

The export unit price was $41.24 per kilogram, up 7.2% month-on-month but down 10.1% year-on-year; the average price of "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizing devices" was $64.1 per unit.

Among them, "e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporization devices" accounted for 15.3% of the export category, while "non-tobacco or reconstituted tobacco products containing nicotine for non-combustible use" accounted for 84.7%.

KT&G said lil now spans three major platforms — lil SOLID, lil HYBRID and lil AIBLE — with more than 30 dedicated consumables, and held a 48% share of South Korea's heated tobacco market in the second quarter of 2026. The opening comes as lil enters its 10th year, with KT&G continuing to position the brand for expansion beyond its domestic market.

Russia will place e-cigarettes and related nicotine products under its “strategic goods” framework from August 20, 2026. According to TVP World’s report published on August 19, the newly listed items include e-cigarettes, electronic smoking devices, vape liquids and nicotine salts. Individuals who illegally move these products across Russia’s customs border or its state border with other Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) members could face up to five years in prison if shipment values exceed 100,000 rubles (about €1,000), provided all elements of a criminal offence are established.
