Florida Introduces Sniffer Dogs to Combat E-cigarette Usage in Schools

Florida introduces trained sniffer dogs to detect students in possession of e-cigarettes and other drugs in schools.

According to a report from Gazetanews, the state of Florida in the United States is in the process of training sniffer dogs to detect students in possession of e-cigarettes, smoking paraphernalia, and other illicit substances within schools.

In recent years, despite the ban on e-cigarette usage in schools in Florida, the phenomenon has continued to rise. The Lake County Sheriff's Office recently announced that they have acquired an 18-month-old Labrador Retriever named Samba, which will be utilized to combat the prevalence of e-cigarettes in the county's schools.

The dog training conducted this time comes at a time when the use of e-cigarettes is increasing. Both the Education Bureau and the Police Department in Huxian County are seeking new methods to detect and prevent students from using e-cigarettes.
