【2Firsts News Flash】According to secolo on August 3, an e-cigarette explosion incident occurred in Rimini, Italy. A 25-year-old plumber experienced an unexpected explosion while using an e-cigarette, resulting in a head injury requiring 50 stitches, as well as burns on his hands and legs.

The accident occurred on the morning of July 31st when a young man, on his way to work, placed an e-cigarette in his pocket. Unexpectedly, the e-cigarette exploded, causing his left leg to catch on fire. In a panic, he tried to remove the burning device but fell to the ground due to pain and panic, hitting a cement flower pot and sustaining serious head injuries.

The injured were immediately transported to the hospital for treatment and were discharged after a ten-day recovery period. The e-cigarette involved in the incident was purchased at a store, and, although it was a Chinese product, it had CE certification.

The injured party's lawyer, Stefano Caroli, has filed a lawsuit with the Rimini Public Prosecutor's Office accusing Chinese products and Italian distributors, demanding an investigation into product certification.
