KT&G to Launch New E-cigarette "lilhybrid" Pod "MIIX ORASOME"
KT&G to launch new e-cigarette pod "MIIX ORASOME" for lilhybrid, expanding their exclusive coil mix stick combinations.

According to South Korean media News Inside's report on April 22nd, KT & G will launch a new pod for the cigarette-type e-cigarette "lilhybrid" on the 24th, called "MIIX ORASOME". With the introduction of this new product, the exclusive coil mix stick combination has been expanded to a total of 12 types, including "Mix", "Ice Double", and "Uptwo".

The "Reel Hybrid," launched in 2018, is a proprietary technology that combines the company's unique e-liquid tobacco and pod usage. This device utilizes both liquid cartridges and pods to maximize convenience, such as increasing vapor production and addressing cleaning issues. As a result, it has received positive feedback from consumers.

Especially in July of last year, the company upgraded and released the "Lil Hybrid 3.0". This new product offers the same performance as the "Lil Hybrid 2.0" in its "Standard Mode", but adds a higher temperature "Classic Mode" and a shortened preheat time of 10 seconds in its "Casual Mode", among other additional features. Additionally, the product also has a function that allows for unlimited pauses during the smoking process within a total time of 2 minutes.

The head of NGP division, Lim Wang-seop, stated, "KT & G has won the support of consumers with innovative devices and a variety of pods that meet consumer needs, securing the top position in the domestic e-cigarette market. We will continue to challenge ourselves with excellent development capabilities and manufacturing technology as the foundation, and provide an innovative platform."

EU Rejects “Royal Smoke” Trademark Application Over Similarity to BAT’s “Royals”
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Opposition Division has rejected Latvian company Baltic Trade Solutions’ application for the “Royal Smoke” trademark, intended for use on e-cigarettes and related products. The decision found the mark too similar to British American Tobacco’s “Royals” cigarette brand, creating a likelihood that average consumers would mistakenly believe the two are connected. Both marks cover products within the “smokers’ articles” category.
